There are no fees until Sweet Dreams Nanny Agency has found a suitable candidate and employment has been confirmed.
Once a client has registered with Sweet Dreams Nanny Agency the following terms and conditions apply.
- Every effort is made to place a candidate to suit your requirements. However we cannot be held liable for any malpractice carried out by the nanny.
- Once the client has accepted a suitable candidate, it is the Client's duty to inform us immediately.
- Fees are payable once a letter of confirmation has been sent to the Client.
- An invoice will be sent on the day employment begins, and it is to be paid in full within 10 working days.
- If a nanny fails to commence employment, and a letter of confirmation has been sent, a fee will not be charged to the Client. (Subject to circumstances).
- If a client withdraws employment once a letter of confirmation has been sent, the fee will become payable in full immediately. (Subject to circumstances).
- If employment fails to work out within the first 6 weeks, we will make every effort to find a suitable replacement free of charge. (Subject to circumstances).
- Refunds
- Refunds will only be applicable providing the account has been settled in full as described in item 4.
- Should the applicant fail to take up the duties the agency will try to find a suitable replacement. If no suitable replacement is found the fee will be refunded.
- Where a permanent engagement is terminated within the first 4 weeks, and no suitable replacement half the fee is refunded.
- Introductions are confidential; Clients passing on information relating to staff introduced to them by the agency resulting in subsequent employment will be liable to the full fee.
- While the Agency endeavours to verify the background of staff introduced before employment commences, we cannot guarantee that all the information regarding the applicant is accurate. The Agency does not accept any liability whatsoever for misrepresentation, loss, damage, claims or expenses incurred by the Client.
- The Client is advised to obtain references to satisfy himself/herself of the applicant's suitability. The final responsibility for accepting the applicant lies with the Client.
Code Of Practice For Childcare Agencies
- To require candidates to complete an application form which will require the provision of the following information:
- Personal details (address, age, nationality, availability).
- Experience and qualifications and employment history relevant to the post.
- Whether the candidate has a criminal record or had a criminal record bureau check.
- To check identity of the candidate, by having sight of a document such as a driving license, passport or a birth certificate.
- To request and verify reasons for gaps in employment history.
- To inspect original certificates of qualifications. In the absence of original certificates the Agency must check the candidate's qualifications with the relevant awarding body
- To interview applicants in person before submission to employers except in exceptional circumstances when the clients must be informed if no personal interview has taken place.
- To take up at least two references to confirm a candidates competence and suitability.
- Procedures 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 must be completed before a candidates details are presented to a client or on an interview arranged.
- Appropriate employers in the last two years should be contacted to provide a reference or statement that the individual worked for the period stated. Open references or testimonials will not not be eccepted without verification.
- To ensure that both the client and applicant are made fully aware of the Agencies procedures.
- To put forward candidates only for positions for which appear to be suited by their qualifications, experience and personality.
- To provide full and relevant information to both the prospective employee and employer about one another before an interview.
- To respect the confidentiality of both clients and candidates.
- Not to attempt to influence a clients or candidates decision by offering misleading information.
- To advertise only genuine vacancies at the salary quoted by the client.
- To provide their services free to job-seekers whether the post in in the UK or overseas (with the exceptions of au pairs).
